There has been significant proof that second-hand smoke causes lung disease and other serious respiratory infections in young children. Why? Because their lungs are still developing. Showing Second-Hand Smoke: Just Say Know to your students informs them with up-to-date facts, gives them a stronger understanding of how dangerous second-hand smoke is to their health, and teaches them polite ways to escape from it. Help your students make the healthy choice to steer clear of cigarette smoke. Help them to ask others not to smoke in their presence.
